It is frustrating when an embroidery project winds up turning into a mess of tangled threads. When your embroidery machine or sewing machine won’t stitch correctly, the first thing to do is remove your project from the machine and then remove the top spool of thread and the bobbin. Rethreading the machine, cleaning out the thread paths (both top and bottom), and changing the needle is the first step in diagnosing and solving the problem. Many thread tangles or thread breaks are the result of lint or small pieces of thread caught in the bobbin case.
The video below will show how to remove the bobbin cover and clean out the bobbin area. If you need additional solutions, check out our other videos on how to clean the bobbin sensor and how to clean the bobbin case and adjust tension.
